My interest in computers began back in 1987. I was just dabbling then because my primary work consisted of building, as well as helping with the construction of high-end luxury custom homes. The kind with marble floors, 5 car garages, 8 or more bedrooms, and so on. Pretty amazing how some people feel the need to live. In 1991 I bought the first computer for business purposes in our 1200 sq. ft. Colorado Springs office. It didn't take long before I started creating business cards, flyers, brochures, spreadsheets, work schedules, and business letters on that first machine ... a 386 DX running on 33 mhz. with Windows 3.0 installed. Since I always loved Photography & Design, it wasn't long before I really got into that as well, combining those skills with Office, Work, and Internet interests. My first online connection took place in 1991 with a 3600 beaud modem. Eventually I got into full-blown desktop publishing too. By 1994 I was working part-time in construction and part-time with computers & web design. As a matter of fact, in 1994 we had one of the largest sites in Colorado running, with web awards from PC Magazine and Lycos (top 5% site). Today I work about 75% with computers and 25% home construction. More computer experience follows below.

I've used and am very familiar with every version of Windows from 3.0 to Windows Vista. I'm familiar with all of the popular Office and most popular Imaging Software. I'm not too familiar with Windows7 since I switched over to Linux about 3 years ago, full time without any Windows OS about 1 year ago. My current writing speed is around 150 to 160 words per minute, roughly the speed of speech. There's just about nothing that I can't do with a computer when I have the proper software. I'm not a hacker though and have no ambitions to be one! I consider myself to be an expert when it comes to image design, photo design, and just about anything image related. In 1996 I met my wife on the Internet, back when that was still considered a total taboo (Geraldo Riviera ... The wicked web ... What a load of garbage!) Between 1998 and 2003 I was also building/selling computers on the internet part time, as well as repairing them locally, often free of charge, for neighbors & seniors. I've probably built, repaired, or upgraded in the neighborhood of 200 computers. My wife and I have both been on eBay since 1998 and we have a total of 4 eBay accounts between us. We planned our wedding online, two Overseas moves, family vacations, online banking, finding rescue dogs, online shipping, purchased and sold several vehicles (first one in 2002) on the Internet, you name it. Computers & Internet ... it's all just like living & breathing to me!
Currently I'm not employed, so I'm ready for some real work with a real paycheck.
